BS-150 is produced from petroleum feedstock using a technology comprising selective refining, dewaxing, and hydrofinishing processes. The oil features a deep refining level, improved thermo-oxidative and environmental characteristics, good compatibility with other base oil groups, and good additive response.
The name "Bright Stock" originates from the method of producing high-viscosity cylinder oil of bright color (Bright) by blending naphtha with dark cylinder oil, leaving the mixture until winter, extracting waxy ingredients from it, and then distilling the naphtha. BS oil is used in transmission oils, engine oils for marine diesel engines, cylinder oils, and other high-viscosity oils.
Applications:
BS-150 is used for manufacturing lubricating oil of the desired viscosity by blending with low-viscosity lubricating oils (used for viscosity adjustment).
The oil is used for manufacturing lubricating oils (transmission oils), but also serves as a finished product on its own. BS-150 made from crude oil can serve as a quenching oil with excellent performance characteristics.
